Job Description:

Position Title: AI/ML Engineering Lead
Location: Remote but must live in AZ, CA, CT, IL, MA, NH, NY, TX, VT, or VA.
Position Status: Direct Hire

Seneca Resources is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking AI/ML Engineering Lead to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable AI/ML solutions and leading initiatives across the full machine learning lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving innovation, ensuring ethical AI practices, and mentoring the next generation of AI/ML engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business, product, UI/UX, and engineering—to gather requirements and translate them into well-defined AI/ML problem statements.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, production-grade AI/ML solutions and end-to-end pipelines.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and frameworks to continuously improve the organization’s capabilities.
• Champion responsible and ethical AI practices, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering best practices in AI/ML engineering and solution design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, including designing and deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Unix scripting, and commonly used ML libraries and frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience with building and deploying ML pipelines on cloud platforms, especially AWS and Databricks.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-3.5/4, BERT, BART, or Dolly.
• Experience operationalizing generative AI applications in real-world use cases.
