Job Description: AI Engineering Intern (Remote)
This internship provides hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying AI/ML solutions. Interns will work closely with the AI engineering team on real-world projects driving innovation within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing and optimizing AI/ML models: Working under the guidance of senior team members to improve existing models and create new ones.
• Integrate AI models into production systems: Implementing AI-driven applications and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Contribute to testing, monitoring, and validation of AI models: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of AI models through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Collaborate on evaluating emerging AI technologies: Researching and assessing new technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation: Documenting AI projects, infrastructure, and processes.
• Support data processing, cloud integration, and data governance/security: Working across teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Graduation date must be no earlier than December 2025.
• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive and team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, eagerness to learn and adapt.
• Experience (Desirable): Previous project experience, internships, or coursework related to AI/ML.
Compensation:
• hourly Rate: $27.50/hr (Bachelor’s degree); $38.50/hr (Master’s degree). (Note: This is a base rate, and the actual compensation may vary based on several factors.)
• Benefits: BeiGene offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, life insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Eligibility for annual bonus plans (non-commercial roles) and incentive compensation plans (commercial roles) also exists. Employee stock ownership opportunities are available.
