Those in Data Science and Machine Learning Engineering focus on advanced analytics and machine learning to extract insights from large datasets. The Opportunity: AI Engineering/Data Scientist Intern
As an AI Engineering/Data Scientist Intern, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of data science and machine learning engineering. You will engage with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, contributing to projects that harness the power of data to drive impactful solutions for clients. As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, observing professional work environments, and conducting research to contribute to the team’s success.

Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assisting in the development and implementation of models for data science and machine learning projects.
- Data Pipelines: Participating in the design and maintenance of data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Data Analysis: Engaging in complex data analysis to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns using quantitative methods.
- AI & NLP Application: Assisting in the application of Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing techniques to enhance data-driven solutions.
- Algorithm Development: Collaborating with team members to apply programming languages in the development of machine learning algorithms.
- Predictive Modeling: Contributing to the creation of predictive models to forecast outcomes and inform decision-making processes.
- Data Quality: Assisting in the evaluation and improvement of data quality to validate reliability and accuracy in analytics.
- Learning & Mentorship: Observing and learning from experienced professionals to gain exposure to data engineering and analytics practices.
- Project Management Support: Supporting project management activities by coordinating tasks and tracking progress to meet project goals.
What You Must Have (Basic Qualifications)
- Education: Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
- Eligibility: Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application.
- Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student’s final year of school.
- Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student’s final year of school.

- Fields of Study: Preference for at least one of the following field(s) of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering.
- Academic Achievement: Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA.
- AI Application: Experience leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working, and deliver distinctive outcomes.
- Programming Proficiency: Demonstrating proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Applying machine learning techniques to solve complex data problems.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Utilizing natural language processing for data-driven insights.
- Predictive Modeling Experience: Engaging in predictive modeling to forecast trends and outcomes.
- Data Engineering & Quality: Supporting data engineering projects with a focus on data quality and integrity.

Salary Range: $29.25 – $48.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
