Job Description

Company Overview
DocuSign brings agreements to life for over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries. Their solutions accelerate business processes and simplify lives by offering intelligent agreement management. DocuSign unleashes business-critical data trapped within documents, which were previously disconnected from business systems of record, leading to lost time, money, and opportunities. Through DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements, leveraging solutions from the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What You’ll Do
As an intern with the AI and Data Security team, you will play a critical role in securing the next generation of DocuSign’s intelligent agreement management platform. This unique internship offers a front-row seat to the intersection of AI and Data security landscapes, specifically focusing on the protection of large language models (LLMs) and the business-critical data that powers them.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and engineers to help develop and implement “secure by design” frameworks for AI development pipelines and automated data protection. This is an individual contributor role where you will gain experience in bridging program delivery, risk management, and emerging AI security practices. You will report to the Sr. Director, AI & Data Security.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operationalization of governance and guardrails for AI tool adoption, ensuring safe and compliant use across the organization.
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining technical controls for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), with a focus on automated tagging and classification to identify and mitigate risks across cloud data stores.
  • Help maintain and update status pages for AI guardrail implementation work, providing stakeholders with a clear view of the testing and implementation progress.
  • Participate in the testing program for new AI models and tools, gaining insight into how we partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering, Product, and Legal.
  • Take a data-driven approach to tracking security KPIs, creating documentation and dashboards to communicate the impact of AI and data security programs to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clear communication skills with the ability to be concise and articulate in both speech and writing.
  • Excitement about exploring new attack methodologies and security solutions for AI/ML systems.
