About the Role:
Join CHS for an exciting and immersive Agronomy Sales Internship experience! Key Responsibilities:

Field Agronomy Support: Directly assist Agronomy Sales Representatives with critical tasks such as crop scouting, soil sampling, and on-site field agronomic problem-solving.
Farm Trials Management: Take ownership of designing, monitoring, and summarizing farm trials to generate valuable data and insights for both our customers and the broader agronomy team.
Integrated Pest Management: Utilize integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to accurately determine treatment thresholds, ensuring efficient and responsible resource use.
Reporting & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive written reports and confidently present findings to supervisors and/or customers.
Product & Service Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the features and benefits of all agronomy products and services offered by CHS.
Sales & Delivery: Assist with over-the-counter sales and facilitate product delivery to customers, ensuring timely and accurate service.
Operations Learning: Gain practical experience in warehouse and agronomy plant operations, understanding the full scope of our supply chain.
Software Proficiency: Learn and effectively utilize our proprietary computer program, Agris, for invoicing and inventory management.
Inventory Management: Actively assist with various inventory management procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Learn how to perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities, contributing to operational efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Work within and maintain an environment that strictly adheres to state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policies.
Custom Application: Potentially engage in custom application tasks if qualified and operational needs arise.
Team Collaboration: Provide support to other departments as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture-related degree program.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation & Benefits:
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage, and while specific to this position, it is generally competitive for an internship. Actual pay offered will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, specialized skills, and local minimum wage/salary requirements. Eligible interns may participate in the 401(k) plan.
