Job Title: Agronomy Operations Intern

Location: Hazel, MN

Internship Duration: Summer 2026 (potentially starting Spring 2026 and extending through summer, depending on business needs and availability).

As an Agronomy Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in collaborating closely with CHS customers, ensuring the delivery of top-notch service and providing valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of general agronomy skills, including:
    • Scouting techniques
    • Crop protection products
    • Crop nutrient products
    • Seed management
    • Custom application procedures
    • Mixing procedures
    • Truck driving and product delivery
  • Execute all agronomy and seed-related operations effectively.
  • Actively monitor and maintain the quality of inventory.
  • Oversee regular and periodic housecleaning processes and accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist with essential repairs and preventative maintenance for a wide range of agronomy equipment, including legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, and trucks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and offer assistance to customers as needed.
  • Work within and uphold an environment that strictly complies with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policies.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Currently enrolled in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture-related degree program.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

Compensation & Benefits:

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes a base wage, and depending upon the position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives, and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, and minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
