Role Overview
The Agronomy Intern position at Valley Agronomics is designed to support the Agronomy location while providing the intern with valuable practical experience and job skills in the agronomy field. Key Responsibilities
Field Examination and Analysis: Assist in examining agricultural fields to assess crop yield, quality, adaptation to specific soil types or climates, and resistance to diseases and pests.
Grower Support and Guidance: Help growers identify and implement optimal methods for planting, cultivation, and harvesting, and understand the impact of various climatic conditions on their crops.
Product Support: Provide assistance with diverse product field development activities and contribute to product sales support functions.
Pest and Disease Management: Scout fields to identify issues and develop effective methods for controlling noxious weeds, crop diseases, and insect pests.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to all company policies, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory guidelines.
Customer Communication: Communicate information about products and services effectively and professionally with customers.
Travel and Mobility: Be prepared to travel to and work at or around other Ag facilities belonging to Valley Agronomics as required.
Additional Tasks: Perform other duties, responsibilities, and/or tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Prerequisites
Education: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an agricultural-related field.
Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, enabling appropriate and professional interaction with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors, and the general public.
Customer Service: Ability to maintain and deliver appropriate and expected levels of customer service.
Driving Requirement: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Professionalism: Must exhibit a professional and positive image at all times.
