They are a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.

About the Job

The Agronomy Intern is part of the Plant Sciences research team and supports activities aimed toward improving agricultural crops. The work week would be a 5 day, 8 hour-per-day schedule with one of the 5 days being a Saturday or Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Basic computer skills needed for data entry for statistical analysis
• Assist with annual field projects (planting, data collection, harvest) under the supervision of the field manager
• Assist with routine maintenance of agronomy supplies
• Develop a personal project that will positively impact the agronomy team
• Willingness to become certified and drive a forklift to move materials

Typical Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

• Mechanical experience preferred
• Experience operating irrigation equipment is preferred
• Experience operating agricultural equipment is preferred

Required Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License

Other Information

• Must be willing to commute between Caldwell and Boise and occasionally other fields in eastern Idaho using a company vehicle
• Occasional overnight travel required
• Duration: May – August 2024, possibility of extending through October

Compensation and Benefits

• Wage range or rate of pay: $18 – $21.50/HR
