Job Description: Aerospace Systems & Defense Intern/Co-op
This internship/co-op program offers an opportunity to contribute to the future of flight by working on challenging, real-world problems in aerospace systems and defense. You’ll gain valuable experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, build professional and technical skills, and build relationships with fellow interns, co-ops, and leaders.
Responsibilities:
The specific responsibilities will vary based on your skills, interests, and project assignments. However, you may be involved in:
• Developing engine controls, navigation, and guidance systems
• Designing and analyzing gas turbine engine components
• Working with electrical power systems, mechanical systems, and vehicle health & data management systems
• Developing mission systems, computing systems, and platform systems integration
• Design, analysis, development, and testing of aerospace systems
• Writing software requirements and conducting software testing
• Simulations, tool development, and product/program support
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale (no rounding)
• Full-time enrollment in a nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
• Willingness and ability to work in the United States (primary locations are Grand Rapids, MI; Clearwater, FL; Dayton, OH; and Bohemia, NY)
• Reliable transportation (many of the sites do not have public transportation available)
