Anduril’s core technology, Lattice OS, is an AI-powered operating system that transforms vast data streams into real-time, 3D command and control centers.
The company is actively seeking an Aerospace Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This is a paid, in-person internship spanning 12 weeks and based in Raleigh, NC.
As an Aerospace Engineering Intern, you will:
• Contribute to tool development projects supporting aircraft conceptual design and analysis teams. Projects will be tailored to completion within the 12-week internship timeframe.
• Gain direct exposure to engineers involved in initial sizing, concept layouts, analysis, performance, trade studies, and concept refinement.
• Receive problem statements, guidelines, requirements, and reporting milestones.
• Independently develop conceptual design tool capability options and generate solutions for approval.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement solutions and integrate them into the overall framework.
• Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutions.
Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Must be a rising senior at the time of the internship and returning to school afterward for at least one quarter/semester.
• U.S. Person status is required due to access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
• Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in Raleigh, NC.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
• Aircraft conceptual design and analysis knowledge and experience gained through school, extracurricular activities, or prior internships.
• Hands-on experience with aircraft design, build, fly projects, and/or competitions.
• Strong ability and desire to work on tool development for aircraft conceptual design.
• Solid programming skills in higher-level languages (MATLAB, Python).
• Skills in 3-D CAD layouts and parametric modeling (NX, Catia, etc.).
• Exposure to aircraft sizing, trade studies, and Multidisciplinary Design, Analysis, and Optimization (MDAO).
