Job Description: Advisory Seasonal Intern – NY Lottery Team

KPMG is seeking a Seasonal Intern to support their New York Lottery (NYL) team. This role involves approximately 30-40 hours per month over an 18-24 month period.

Responsibilities:

Draw Observation: Attend assigned NYL lottery draws, meticulously documenting procedures using checklists. This work directly contributes to ensuring the integrity and transparency of the draw process. The intern will also identify key business issues impacting the draw results.
Administrative Support: Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the New York Lottery team. The specific tasks are not detailed but are implied to be supporting the draw observation responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Finance, Business, or a comparable program.
GPA: Minimum 3.00 GPA.
Availability: Ability to work approximately 30-40 hours per month for 18-24 months.
Skills: Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude; critical thinking skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexibility and adaptability; resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
Location: Must reside within commuting distance of the office and be responsible for own transportation. Work location may vary (office, client site, virtual/remote), with potential travel and overnight stays for client site work. Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship. No visa sponsorship is available.
