KPMG Advisory Internship: Financial Due Diligence

KPMG’s Advisory practice is experiencing rapid growth due to high client demand. The company is looking for adaptable and collaborative individuals to join their team. This internship specifically focuses on Financial Due Diligence within the Deal Advisory & Strategy practice. As an intern, you will play a vital role in assisting senior team members on buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements for Fortune 100 companies and private equity investors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial due diligence assistance related to buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements.
• Analyze target company and/or client data to identify key financial performance and operating trends.
• Conduct rigorous financial statement analysis and applied data analytics.
• Assist in designing, creating, and composing client-tailored transaction advisory reports.
• Address and highlight stakeholder concerns, valuation models, synergies, contractual issues, and accounting and tax reporting implications.
• Perform analyses of operating trends, quality of earnings, financial position, net working capital, debt and potential indebtedness considerations, borrowing base calculations, and/or business combinations.

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent program.
Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business.
Minimum GPA of 3.00 or above.
Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated quality service mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
Flexible and adaptable team player with a resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
Must reside within a commutable distance of the office location.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.

Work Location:

• May be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote.
• Must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
• Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stays.
