About the Role: Advertising Sales Summer 2026 Intern
Roku is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented student to join its Advertising Sales team as a Summer 2026 Intern in their New York City Office.
In this role, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to the full advertising sales lifecycle by supporting Account Executives across Roku’s sales organization. Key contributions will involve core sales functions, including client research, account and meeting preparation, development of pitch materials, and proposal creation. The intern will also collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Client Services, Sales Planning, Advertising Operations, Inventory, Measurement, and Marketing to support client needs and business objectives.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings curiosity and enthusiasm to their work, and is willing to take ownership of both large initiatives and day-to-day tasks. This individual should be thoughtful, a self-starter, and excited to contribute to an innovative company operating at the intersection of media and technology.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build a foundational understanding of connected TV advertising sales and the broader market.
- Gain live business exposure by sitting in on select internal sales meetings and client calls.
- Support pre-sale deliverables.
- Assist with competitive/industry research and analysis.
- Become knowledgeable with Roku’s Ad Sales tools & internal systems.
- Take part in broader business team meetings, ranging from weekly connects with Account Executives to larger org-wide meetings and company-wide town halls.
- Network with other cross-functional teams including Advertising Operations, Inventory, Sales Planning, Measurement, and Marketing – and understanding how each team works with the Sales team.
- Develop a keen understanding of how the Roku platform and unique ad products deliver brand value to support client advertising goals.
- Deliver a 30-minute presentation at internship completion, taking what you have learned to complete a simulated sales cycle – from pitch to close.

- Currently pursuing a degree in advertising, marketing, business, communications or a related field.
- Passionate about video media.
- Above average with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Constantly curious and confident asking questions.
- Able to effectively prioritize and manage tasks within a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- An excellent verbal and written communicator.
Compensation & Benefits (New York Only):
- Estimated hourly rate: $20 to $50 per hour. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

Hybrid Work Approach:
Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment. Teams work in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays are flexible for remote work, except for roles requiring five days in the office or offices with a five-day in-office policy.
