Administrative Manager-Emergency Medicine | Mount Sinai Health System

The TL;DR

• Pay: $66482.07–$130000 yearly
• Mission: Owns the oversight of administrative, operational, and financial activities to ensure successful day-to-day coordination and delivery for the Emergency Medicine department or division.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Establish major schedules, task assignments, and allocate manpower, space, and equipment to ensure conformance with departmental goals and objectives.
• Compliance & Policy: Recommend changes in operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Financial Oversight: Assist in determining fiscal requirements, prepare budgetary recommendations, and monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds.
• Personnel Administration: Interpret and administer personnel policies such as hiring, performance appraisals, training, staff disciplinary activity, and salary recommendations.
• Reporting & Liaison: Prepare operational and financial reports and analyses, and serve as the department’s liaison with administrative and professional staff regarding policies, grant administration, and budgetary control.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of related business experience with competency in applying general personnel practices, accounting, budgeting principles, and coordination of one or more major administrative functions.
• Skills: General personnel practices, accounting principles, budgeting principles, administrative operations coordination.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred.
