This is an entry-level, fully on-site role with Koniag Tech and Infrastructure Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, located at Stennis Space Center, MS. Koniag Government Services is an Alaska Native Owned corporation that provides Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, and Operational Management to Federal Government Agencies, applying commercial solutions to Defense and Civilian missions. This Administrative Assistant position is vital for the Naval Research Laboratory, serving as the primary front desk contact to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, support staff productivity, and maintain an organized, welcoming environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Front Desk Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact, greeting and escorting visitors according to facility access and security protocols.
• Communication Management: Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and respond to routine inquiries professionally.
• Meeting Coordination: Schedule conference room reservations and coordinate logistics, setup, materials, and technology support for meetings.
• Documentation Support: Record and transcribe accurate meeting minutes for designated meetings, ensuring timely distribution to stakeholders.
• Correspondence Drafting: Draft, format, proof, and review official correspondence adhering to the Navy Correspondence Manual and applicable directives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma or GED required, with proficiency in basic office functions and records management principles and practices.
• Experience: Prior administrative support experience at a major corporation, government agency, or military command. Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be eligible for a Common Access Card and associated IT system access.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), demonstrated discretion and sound judgment, strong organizational skills (prioritizing tasks, managing time, working independently), and fluency with Microsoft Windows and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Navy or DoD administrative procedures, correspondence standards, and records management practices. An Associate’s degree or coursework in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field is preferred.
