Job Title: Acute Care Physical Therapist
City/State: Hampton, VA (specifically at Sentara CarePlex Hospital)
Work Shift: First (Days)

Overview and Responsibilities:
As an Acute Care Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:
• Assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs.
• Working to improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
• Providing age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervising and assuming responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Qualifications:
• Required Education: A Bachelor’s Level Degree.
• Required License: Active Physical Therapist License.
• Preferred Education: Master’s or Doctorate Level Degree is preferred.
• Experience: 1-year experience is required for “Resource Pool Applicants.”
• Certification (Specific): For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only (not direct for this Acute Care role), Direct Access certification must be obtained within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree.
