Job Description: Actuarial Summer Scholar

What You’ll Do:

As an Actuarial Summer Scholar, you will be a part of a client service team, collaborating with others to:

Build financial and mathematical models: These models aim to improve organizational performance and help clients make informed business decisions.
Advise clients on complex business problems: You will use statistical methods to interpret large data sets and quantify risk, offering expert advice to clients.
Develop your skills: You will gain valuable experience and build your skills in areas like actuarial science, mathematics, and statistics.
Contribute to the team: You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning from their expertise and participating in team-based projects.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking candidates who:

Are pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics: You should be currently enrolled in a full-time program with a target graduation date by August 2026, or hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of these fields.
Have a strong academic track record: A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, with 3.4 preferred.
Are passionate about analytical and critical thinking: You should be able to solve complex problems and communicate your findings effectively.
Possess excellent communication skills: You should be able to work collaboratively and communicate your ideas clearly to both colleagues and clients.
Are eager to learn and grow: You should be open to new challenges and committed to developing your skills.
Are willing to travel up to 50%: This position may involve travel to client sites.
