• Mission: Support the Actuarial Practice in providing customized actuarial services and strategic insight to clients across various industries.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Problem Analysis: Support consultants and actuaries in analyzing complex business problems across finance, operations, product strategy, and M&A, using data, research, and structured problem-solving approaches.
• Data-Driven Insights: Work with various datasets, such as medical and pharmacy claims, life and annuity product data, or property & casualty loss data, to identify trends, summarize findings, and develop actionable insights.
• Client Deliverable Preparation: Assist in developing client-ready presentations, financial analyses, exhibits, and analytical summaries for internal and client-facing discussions, often supporting rate development, valuation, or risk financing projects.
• Strategic and Industry Research: Conduct comprehensive industry and market research, including benchmarking studies, to help inform client recommendations, support new business launches, and assess market and regulatory impacts.
• Project Collaboration & Execution: Collaborate closely with project teams, consultants, and actuaries to support engagement execution, learn consulting best practices, and contribute to client service across diverse practice areas.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Class of 2028 or 2029, pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another STEM or business-related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required; interest in the CAS, SOA, or CFA track is essential, with a strong interest in both strategy consulting and actuarial applications for the ICG role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Bonus: Familiarity with technical tools such as R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA is preferred.
