What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain Client Accounts: Manage an AR portfolio by keeping notes updated and accurate, and documenting collection statuses within the firm’s internal system.
• Drive Collections Efforts: Perform E-bill audits, research bill payment statuses, and engage in monthly communication with clients to collect on open invoices through business-to-business collections.
• Reconcile Payments: Accurately reconcile payments with the AR ledger, identify and correct discrepancies, and work with other departments to process client refunds for overpayments.
• Handle Inquiries: Serve as a primary contact for accounts receivable inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to both partners and clients.
• Support Special Projects: Assist with various special projects specifically related to the firm’s accounts receivable portfolio as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Knowledge of standard accounts receivable policies, processes, and practices.
• Experience: Prior experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high level of accuracy and attention to detail, well-developed organizational skills, proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Bonus: Experience within a law firm environment.
