Specialist, Accounts Receivable | Alterra Mountain Company

The Tone:

This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, directly supporting the company’s continued growth and smooth operations.

• Team: Shared Services department, reporting to the Group Billing Supervisor
• Mission: Ensure accurate and timely billing and collection for group bookings and other customer invoices to support business operations.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Microsoft D365

What You’ll Actually Do
• Group Billing: Facilitate the end-to-end Group Billing process for various customer types including groups, wholesalers, and business partners.
• Invoicing Accuracy: Ensure all Accounts Receivable group invoices are accurate, timely, complete, appropriately recorded within the accounting system, and delivered to customers within prescribed deadlines.
• Payment Management: Apply and settle payments promptly and appropriately, actively pursuing payment for delinquent accounts.
• Reconciliation: Collaborate with internal team members, other departments like Sales and Operations, and external customers or groups to reconcile differences or resolve issues preventing payments.
• Collection Verification: Verify the timely collection of invoices from customers and groups, ensuring financial transactions are completed efficiently.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant work experience is required, along with knowledge of commonly used accounts receivable concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Experience: Familiarity with the month-end close process is essential. Candidates should also have professional or lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a broad range of people.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft D365.
