What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Application: Apply customer cash payments accurately and efficiently.
• Remittance Processing: Download customer remittances and upload both e-commerce and all posted remittances.
• Lockbox Interaction: Interact and balance with the lockbox to ensure proper cash handling.
• Check Deposits: Deposit miscellaneous checks using a bank scanner and UPS overnight shipping.
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update daily cash sheets for all brands.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Assist the AR Manager in identifying discrepancies for the accounting team during monthly bank reconciliations, and interact with Accounting & Accounts Payable to apply unknown vendor payments.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation during yearly audits.
• Issue Escalation: Communicate and escalate issues to the AR Manager as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Strong foundation in accounting principles and a good understanding of Accounts Receivable processes, including cash application and reconciliations.
• Experience: Proficiency in widely used accounting software and ERP systems such as Dynamics AX; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Familiarity with electronic payment processing platforms and various payment methods.
• Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record-keeping; Excellent written and verbal communication; Strong organizational abilities, time management, and prioritization skills; Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and workloads; Ability to work remote responsibly and dedicated.
