Corpay is actively seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance division, specifically within our Corporate Payments line of business. This vital position is based in Brentwood, TN, and plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient financial operations.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices and managing payment status inquiries. This role also offers opportunities for professional growth through cross-training in other Accounts Payable functions and contributing to the enhancement of AP documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Accounts Payable Clerk will include, but are not limited to:

  • Invoice Management: Efficiently processing, uploading, and auditing a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Mailbox Management: Diligently maintaining the Accounts Payable mailbox, ensuring all inquiries and incoming invoices are addressed and processed promptly.
  • Payment Resolution: Actively researching and resolving outstanding checks, collaborating with relevant parties to ensure timely and correct payment reconciliation.

Qualifications & Skills We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, we are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Education & Experience:
    • A High School diploma is required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of Accounts Payable experience and/or training, coupled with previous data entry skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Core Competencies:
    • A high level of organizational skills, essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions.
    • Exceptional detail-orientation with the proven ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately within stated deadlines.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills.
    • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • Must be proficient in data entry.
    • Experience with D365 is considered a significant plus.
