Accounts Payable Clerk | Arcosa Inc.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Management: Receive, date, and distribute invoices to the correct departments for approval, then accurately enter all coded and approved invoices into the AP OSAS system.
• Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoice payments and other various issues, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Payment Processing: Process employee expense reports and check requests, run weekly aging reports, and issue timely payments to vendors.
• Financial Reconciliation & Records: Reconcile aging reports to vendor statements, research and resolve any discrepancies, and maintain comprehensive vendor files.
• Reporting & Close Support: Maintain a daily list of processed checks, manage the yearly preparation and processing of 1099s, and assist with month-end close activities including journal entries and schedules.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Demonstrated math skills and foundational financial knowledge, including understanding debits and credits.
• Experience: Proficiency with computer software, specifically Microsoft Excel. Requires honesty and a clean criminal history related to financial transactions due to handling financial data.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with vendors, customers, and internal teams. Must be organized, self-motivated, and exhibit regular, dependable attendance.
