About the Job
Compass Group is currently seeking an Accounting Summer Intern for its Field Support team in Field Accounting. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and learn from a team with varied strengths.
The primary role of the Field Accounting Services Intern is to provide financial support to field operations while providing top-notch internal customer service across the organization. Responsibilities include:
• Acting as a liaison between field operations and other Corporate functions such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Capital Assets, and Payroll
• Assisting with ensuring monthly profit and loss statements are an accurate reflection of the results of the period
• Ensuring accounting conforms to the Group Accounting Policies and Procedures and maintains internal controls
• Validating field requests and preparing journal entries as needed
• Completing special projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar undergraduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficient in MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Access)

• High level of attention to detail and organization with the ability to multitask
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
• Proficiency regarding time and meeting target dates; ability to work under pressure given tight deadlines
• Must be a quick learner, self-directed, proactive, and curious
• Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing factors and conditions
• Curiosity about the hospitality and service industry
• Can-do attitude
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated awareness, understanding, and skills vital to work in a diverse environment
This position is paid, but not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
