What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
• System Reconciliation: Post entries, verify, and reconcile input to financial reporting systems.
• Balance Sheet & P&L: Perform reconciliations for both balance sheet and P&L statements.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve financial statement discrepancies, with supervision, by working with other departments.

• Background: This role is for an early-career professional seeking to apply knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools. You will be expected to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using established accounting practices, including a foundational understanding of GAAP and organizational standards for financial record keeping.
• Experience: Candidates should be capable of processing limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy, learning from mistakes, and applying lessons learned. You will participate in accounting practices involving classifying and recording financial data and maintaining existing charts of accounts.
• Skills:
• Accounting: Working knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools, including cost monitoring practices and adherence to regulations for entering and reporting financial content in major accounting systems.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge of the necessity and value of accuracy, with the ability to complete tasks with high precision, including utilizing specific approaches for checking and cross-checking outputs.
• Problem Solving: Working knowledge of techniques for identifying and documenting specific problems and resolution alternatives, examining issues from various stakeholder perspectives, and using fact-finding to identify problems.
• Analytical Thinking: Basic understanding of techniques and tools that support effective analysis, including awareness of software applications for business analytics and giving examples of their use in problem resolution.
• Effective Communications: Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, including delivering and receiving feedback, making oral presentations, writing reports, and looking for non-verbal cues.
