The Tone:
This is a direct hire, full-time Accounting Manager role located in Torrance, CA, facilitated by Kimco Staffing Services, Inc. This position is critical for leading general accounting operations, primarily focusing on General Ledger activities for a client company. The selected manager will take ownership of the month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and partnering with internal teams to understand business operations. This role is essential for driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the accounting function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee and manage General Ledger activities, which constitute approximately 80% of the role’s responsibilities.
• Drive and take full ownership of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting through thorough review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial results.
• Partner with cross-functional internal teams to understand operational processes and provide expert accounting guidance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members, while proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, bringing strong General Ledger and financial close expertise.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory or management experience, coupled with practical experience working with a large ERP system.
• Skills: Excellent communication abilities, strong analytical acumen, robust organizational capabilities, and effective problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: CPA certification is a plus.
