What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Return Preparation: Prepare federal and state individual tax returns under direct supervision.
• Business Tax Support: Assist in the preparation of S corporation and partnership returns as skills develop.
• Client Document Management: Organize client tax documents, identify missing information, and draft follow-up questions.
• Financial Record Keeping: Assist with bookkeeping tasks and perform account reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
• Tax Research: Research basic tax questions and summarize findings for review by the firm owner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in accounting or a related field, or recently graduated, with completion of introductory financial accounting coursework.
• Experience: Entry-level experience with familiarity in Excel; willingness to learn new software; available to work in person for 10–20 hours per week during the January–April 2027 internship period.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, clear written and verbal communication, and comfort with asking questions, receiving, and applying feedback.
• Bonus: Prior tax coursework is a plus.
