Job Description: Accounting Intern
This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside Senior and Financial Accountants at Chipotle. The primary focus is on reconciling sales and payments. The role involves several key responsibilities:
• Supporting Restaurants: Addressing all sales, payment, and related issues for Chipotle restaurants.
• Data Analysis & Investigation: Utilizing sales data, second make-line data, and ServiceNow reports to investigate discrepancies in charges. Comparing data from delivery partners with internal sales data and bank activity to ensure accuracy.
• Data Manipulation & Trend Analysis: Retrieving, modifying, and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the company’s financial processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Pursuing a B.A./B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using a PC and MS Office Suite software, with exceptional Excel skills (including pivot tables, vlookup, xlookup, and sumif functions).
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
