Accounting Intern | Anderson Injury Lawyers

This role is crucial for supporting the accounting team in managing client fund distributions and maintaining the firm’s daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Management: Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and records.
• Client Fund & Billing Support: Assist with billing, invoicing, client fund distributions, and expense tracking.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Support bank reconciliations and help resolve financial discrepancies.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with accounting and legal staff to support daily operations while handling confidential information professionally.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, with a basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: No explicit years of experience required, but a foundational understanding is essential; previous internship or office experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administration is preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills; high attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software; interest in a career in accounting, finance, or business operations; reliable transportation for occasional travel between DFW offices.
