Accounting Intern – Lynden Incorporated

Lynden Incorporated is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our SeaTac-based team. What You Will Be Doing

  • Reconcile accounts and financial records by performing research, documenting account and record status, and recording correcting entries as needed.
  • Research or enter information in our system to assist various departments, inquire on or update accounts, facilitate replies to customers or vendors, prepare bills, receipts, checks, or other documents.
  • Assist with unclaimed property filing.
  • Support our Credit team by assisting with credit applications and credit limit review.
  • Provide phone support, interacting with other employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Map and document business processes.
  • Assist with projects on an as-needed basis such as organizing information, presenting information, creating documents, working on company SharePoint sites, developing training modules or training documentation, etc.
  • Complete various journal entries as needed.
  • May be required to facilitate meetings, gather information from various personnel and summarize information in a clear, logical format.
  • Participate in learning and networking opportunities such as:
    • Tours of our local Lynden Operating Companies.
    • Informational lunches with executives across Operations, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance and Company Presidents.
    • Assisting with employee events including the Lynden summer barbecue.
    • Intern team building activities.
    • Presenting group projects to Lynden executives.

This is a paid, full-time internship (40 hours/week) for 10-12 weeks. Attendance and punctuality are important to show you’re dedicated to learning.

What We Need From You (required)

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate accounting or finance program and have at least one year of college with some course work in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Must have strong Excel skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Tableau experience is appreciated.

Your Schedule

We offer a flexible start window between 7:00am and 8:00am, Monday – Friday. To support team coordination, you are expected to begin work at the same selected time each day.
