Accounting Intern
Thank you for considering Progyny! Progyny is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial data and supporting the company’s financial processes. You will play a crucial part in the completion of accounting tasks, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
The internship begins on June 2nd, 2026, and culminates in a presentation to senior leadership.
What You’ll Do…
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related footnotes, including Form 10-Q to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.
- Gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting within a publicly traded company.
- Develop skills in financial analysis, reporting, SEC financial reporting, and SOX compliance.
- Opportunity to work with experienced professionals and learn from industry experts.
- Enhance understanding of financial processes and systems.
About You…
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills and ability to efficiently work with large volumes of data and pivot tables.
- Organized and methodical with strong attention to detail.
- Accounting major or equivalent.
- Comfortable collaborating with and presenting to executives.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and inquisitive; natural problem solver.
- Prefers to work independently with clear initial guidance/requests leveraging cross-functional resources and teams.
- Driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others.

In compliance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the hourly salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $25.00/hour – $50.00/hour. A variety of factors, including external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required, contribute to determining the salary range. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
