What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Efficiently process incoming invoices, expense reports, and facilitate timely vendor payments.
• Financial Reporting: Actively assist in the preparation and compilation of various financial statements and reports for management review.
• Account Reconciliation: Provide crucial support in the reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Data Management: Precisely enter and diligently maintain accurate financial data within designated accounting systems.
• Closing Processes: Contribute to the smooth execution of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required for this internship role.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong organizational capabilities for managing financial documents, tasks, and data efficiently. Possesses strong analytical skills to effectively examine financial data, identify trends, and support accurate reporting and insights. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and Outlook for professional communication. Exhibits a keen attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy in all data entry, calculations, and financial reporting tasks. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the accounting staff, coupled with the critical ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information discreetly.
• Bonus: An interest in the construction, paving, or infrastructure industries is beneficial, and familiarity with accounting systems or software would be a valuable asset.
