What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Conduct basic financial data analysis and research to support reporting needs.
• Support Close: Aid in monthly and annual financial close activities, including processing journal entries.
• Record Keeping: Review invoices and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
• Project Contribution: Participate in routine, ad-hoc, and special accounting projects.
• Reporting: Assist in preparing work-in-progress and other internal financial reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a high school diploma or GED and current enrollment in a college program with at least 15 undergraduate credits completed. Foundational knowledge in accounting or finance coursework is essential.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is explicitly required, but basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools is necessary.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and professional communication skills.
• Bonus: Desired qualifications include prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance, comfort with spreadsheets and basic data analysis, strong time management skills, and an interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance.
