Accounting Internship – Summer 2027 | Zurich North America

This is a full-time internship at Zurich North America, located in Schaumburg, IL with hybrid working. What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Provide support to key functions such as Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Reinsurance, or Accounting Policy.
• Analyze: Understand insurance Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and financial operations.
• Develop: Acquire advanced Excel skills and capabilities for data analysis, and develop basic/intermediate skills in SAP BPC application and Business Objects queries.
• Learn: Learn about international accounting standards and proper interaction with other departments, and explore other functional areas within Zurich through day-to-day work.
• Comprehend: Develop a deep understanding of insurance operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program, and will be enrolled in the Fall of 2027, with two or more years of college coursework completed (should be a rising Junior or Senior).
• Experience: Microsoft Office experience. Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely.
• Skills: Data analysis, understanding of financial operations, ability to learn new applications like SAP BPC and Business Objects.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA at/above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; problem solving skills in a customer focused environment; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience in a leadership role; self-motivated and able to work independently.
