Job Description
This internship at Forvis Mazars is designed to offer a practical, immersive experience into the world of public accounting. It serves as an opportunity for individuals to test their technical knowledge, gain industry exposure, and determine if a career in audit or tax, or public accounting in general, aligns with their professional aspirations.
Internship Overview:
• Gain valuable experience working on client engagements.
• Work on tasks similar to those assigned to entry-level associates.
• Gain exposure to a variety of industries.
• Develop technical know-how and skillset.
• Work alongside senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience.
Types & Duration:
• Internships are available in assurance, tax, or a combination of both.
• Can be part-time or full-time, depending on local office needs.
• Winter semester internships: Generally run from early-January through April 15th.
• Summer internships: Typically run from early-June through mid-August.
Key Responsibilities (How You Will Contribute):
• Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns.
• Calculate tax extension or estimate payments.
• Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
Desired Skills & Qualities (We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and):
• Solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Effective time management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
• Problem-solving attitude.
• Willingness to take initiative.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
• Must be working toward an accounting degree.
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office.
• Must be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
