Job Description: Accounting Intern
Clicklease is seeking an Accounting Intern to join their team in West Valley City, UT. This is a part-time, on-site internship (20-29 hours/week, Monday-Friday) for a 6-month period, with potential for a full-time position based on performance and company needs. The intern will work closely with a seasoned Financial Controller and will gain experience in a variety of accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Daily cash/check deposits entry and reconciliation
• Process Check Requests
• Filing and File Management
• Data Entry and Data Clean-up Projects
• Assist in Lease Termination Process
• Petty Cash management
• Actively Participate in Accounting support function for other Internal Departments
• Distribute and open mail
• Ad-hoc Office Management and other Accounting/Finance Projects
• Identify process improvements opportunities in all projects undertaken
Requirements:
• Current Junior or Senior year student majoring in Accounting or Finance, recent graduate of an Accounting or Finance program, or pursuing finance and accounting career aspirations.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday for up to 29 hours a week.
• Desire to join Clicklease’s accounting team full-time after the internship.
• Ability to work during the school year and start immediately.
• Commitment to a 6-month internship project.
• Skilled use of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams etc.)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, general ledger and account reconciling processes
• Finance and/or Accounting Career Aspirations
• Affinity to learning new Software and a desire to utilize the software to its fullest
• Self-starting attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years completed in an accounting or finance program at an accredited 4-year university.
• Experience in the leasing or finance industry.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online and Salesforce.
Compensation and Benefits:
• $18-$22 hourly DOE
• While this internship is not benefit-eligible, top-performing interns may be considered for future full-time roles at Clicklease, where a robust benefits package including competitive salary, 401k with company match, generous PTO, health, dental, and vision insurance, and other perks will apply.
