Accounting Associate | Setpoint
The Tone:
This is an early-career accounting opportunity at Setpoint, a company focused on asset-backed private credit investments. Setpoint Capital integrates financial expertise with operational excellence to create capital solutions, delivering tailored credit solutions primarily with US residential real estate assets as collateral. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the company’s accounting ERP, ensuring ledger accuracy, and efficiently managing high-volume transactional processes. Your meticulous work will directly support the financial operations and audit readiness of the organization.

• Mission: To ensure ledger accuracy, maintain accounting ERP integrity, and manage high-volume transactional processes.
• Tech Stack: NetSuite
What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile cash across all accounts, matching bank activity to ledger activity in NetSuite.
• Item Resolution: Research and resolve reconciling items, including wires, capital calls, distributions, facility draws and paydowns, and fees.
• Documentation & Accuracy: Keep clean, well-documented reconciliation support suitable for audit and independent review, ensuring activity is coded to the correct entity, account, and period.
• Journal Entry Processing: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule, with adequate supporting documentation, for review and approval by a manager or designated peer.
• Close Support: As capacity allows, support month-end close, manual schedules, and audit and tax requests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: Experience reconciling cash or bank activity in an accounting system.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently, strong organizational skills, and clear written communication.
• Bonus: Prior exposure to NetSuite is a plus.
