What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Billing: Accurately process AIA billing documents and generate customer invoices to ensure timely payment for project work.
• Maintain Records: Enter journal entries and diligently maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records for all financial transactions.
• Manage Receivables: Support accounts receivable functions, including collections activities and detailed tracking of incoming payments.
• Assist Closings: Assist with periodic account reconciliations and contribute to the successful completion of month-end close procedures.
• Support Projects: Collaborate closely with Project Managers on billing inquiries, monitoring job costs, and organizing critical project documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of journal entries, accounts receivable processes, and account reconciliations within an accounting context.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are strictly required for this position.
• Skills: Proficiency in AIA billing procedures, accurate journal entry input, effective collections strategies, precise account reconciliation, and meticulous record maintenance for contracts and change orders.
• Bonus: Prior experience working with QuickBooks, familiarity with construction invoicing practices, and direct involvement with AIA billing processes are strongly preferred.
