• Team: Optum Care Delivery team, on the revenue / cash team
• Mission: This person is responsible for calculating, analyzing, tracking/reporting, and recording revenue and AR/cash activity to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Tech Stack: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger: Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports.
• Month-End Close: Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end close.
• Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Audit Support: Prepare documentation to support both external and internal audits.
• Financial Analysis: Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, investigating issues to provide explanations and interpretation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: 1+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Skills: Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements; Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Proven ability to assess and interpret customer needs, identify solutions to non-standard requests, and solve moderately complex problems.
