Management Company Accountant | Gen II Fund Services

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Gen II Fund Services, located in hybrid US offices. Gen II Fund Services is a leading independent private equity fund administrator, managing over $1 trillion in private capital for clients globally. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial accounting and reporting for multiple private equity management companies, supporting their operational infrastructure and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account for cash transactions: Perform cash transaction processing and accounting, including bank reconciliations.
• Manage fixed assets and prepaids: Oversee fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting.
• Process payroll financials: Handle payroll accounting, including reconciliations to payroll provider records.
• Support monthly closing: Assist senior team members with the monthly accounting cycle, preparing journal entries for expense accruals, equity activities, and other transactions.
• Prepare financial reports: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and workpaper creation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience, preferably in public accounting and/or the financial services sector.
• Skills: Solid Excel skills, analytic thinking, heightened attention to detail, strong written and oral communication, solid understanding of accounting theory.
• Bonus: Experience with Sage Intacct.
