Accountant Intern | Daybreak Game Company LLC
The Tone:
This is an internship at Daybreak Game Company LLC, located in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work structure. Daybreak is a recognized worldwide leader in massively multiplayer online games, known for blockbuster hits and franchises such as DC Universe Online, PlanetSide, EverQuest, and Dungeons and Dragons Online. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (20 hours/week), Temporary (June 2026 – August 2026)
• Location: Hybrid; San Diego, CA
• Pay: $17–$23.2 hourly
• Mission: Gain practical accounting experience by assisting with financial recordkeeping, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data within a professional environment, while upholding confidentiality.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist: Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, including data entry, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Support: Participate in processing invoices, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze: Contribute to the analysis of financial information, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain: Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are required; focus is on academic pursuit and foundational knowledge.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy in financial data; effective written and verbal communication for team collaboration; ability to analyze and interpret financial information and solve problems efficiently; capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is preferred, along with experience using other accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.
