Accountant I – Corporate (Las Vegas) | Caesars Entertainment

The Tone:
This is an early career Accountant I role at Caesars Entertainment, located in Las Vegas, NV. • Mission: To ensure the accuracy of revenue reporting by performing daily audits, preparing financial entries, and maintaining account integrity.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Reconciliation: Complete assigned non-gaming revenue audits by reconciling, analyzing, recording, and reviewing financial documents for proper completion.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and process journal entries, manage account reconciliations, and compile tax returns as assigned.
• Process Improvement: Identify shifts in the business environment and adapt control frameworks, business narratives, and flowcharts accordingly.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with audit teams, operations, property management, and both internal and external auditors.
• Project Participation: Respond to additional requests and participate actively in special projects and team building initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or possess equivalent experience within the accounting industry. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Experience: Demonstrated capability to effectively manage routine accounting tasks while appropriately responding to additional requests and special projects.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling active participation in meetings and clear communication with peers, seniors, and managers. Ability to adapt to new circumstances, understand process issues, and contribute to developing solutions. Capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships with other team members and department leaders.
• Bonus: Preferred understanding of regulatory requirements, SOX 404, and GAAP principles. Working knowledge of CMS, LMS, Oracle, and various Point of Sale systems is also an advantage.
