What You’ll Actually Do
• Record-keeping: Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Closing Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Transaction Review: Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audit requests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Entry-level accounting professional with a basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience, including internships. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks, good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Internship or prior experience in a corporate accounting environment, experience with ERP systems (e.g., WorkDay, OfficeConnect, Blackline), or progress toward CPA or other accounting certification.
