What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Operations: Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Close Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Transaction Review: Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Compliance & Audit: Assist with internal and external audit requests and support compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, serving as an entry-level accounting professional.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience, which includes internships.
• Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency with Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a corporate accounting environment, experience with ERP systems (e.g., WorkDay, OfficeConnect, Blackline), or progress toward CPA or other accounting certification.
