This is a full-time, early career accounting role at Tokyo Electron US, a company operating within the semiconductor and hardware industry. As an Accountant I, you will work under close supervision, applying standard professional accounting principles to assist with fundamental accounting functions. This position is vital for supporting core financial processes by meticulously maintaining accurate financial records, processing essential journal entries, and assisting in routine reconciliations. Your efforts will ensure strict compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP, contributing directly to the financial integrity and reporting capabilities of the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Billing Compliance: Assist in the accurate entry and tracking of billing information, ensuring adherence to established accounting standards.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Balance financial books and provide support for the preparation of basic profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements, as well as assisting in routine reconciliations.
• Project Financial Monitoring: Monitor and prepare comprehensive monthly revenue and expenditure reports specifically for designated projects.
• Transactional Record Keeping: Maintain precise records for all assets, liabilities, and other pertinent financial transactions of the company.
• Accounting System Support: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining core accounting systems, specifically related to journal entries, General Ledger postings, and Accounts Receivable and Payable transactions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This is an entry-level position that requires a foundational understanding of accounting principles, U.S. GAAP, and standard financial reporting practices.
• Experience: No prior experience is necessary for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively under close supervision, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills and practical familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Previous accounting experience or a relevant internship is preferred, along with an interest in learning technical and analytical accounting skills specific to the semiconductor/hardware industry.
