• Mission: Perform reconciliation and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy, proper completion, approval, and compliance for financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Perform reconciliation of accounts and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy, proper completion, and adherence to departmental guidelines.
• Review: Verify entries for proper approval, compliance with procedures, and correct inclusion in the financial statements.
• Resolve: Participate in the research and resolution of any discrepancies identified during account reviews.
• Support: Assist other departments with research and correction of general ledger entries as needed.
• Maintain: Maintain a current knowledge of accounting principles and First Horizon Bank’s policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Entry-level experience.
• Skills: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); ability to effectively work independently; strong analytical skills for discrepancy resolution.
• Bonus: Prior related work experience in a Corporate Accounting department.
