The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Post Consumer Brands, located in Lakeville, MN. Post Consumer Brands, a business unit of Post Holdings, Inc., is dedicated to providing people and their pets with delicious food choices through beloved brands such as Honey Bunches of Oats, PEBBLES, and Rachael Ray Nutrish. As an Accountant, you will bring your expertise to a role where accurate, timely work helps keep the business moving. You will own assigned accounting processes and contribute to monthly close, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepare accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analysis for assigned accounting areas.
• Support: Support accurate and timely monthly close and financial reporting by meeting established deadlines and resolving outstanding items.
• Research: Research accounting issues and reconciling items, identify root causes, and drive issues to resolution.
• Maintain: Maintain clear process documentation and recommend practical improvements that strengthen efficiency and internal controls, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Partner: Partner with internal departments, plant personnel, and other accounting team members to respond to requests, clarify information, and provide audit support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, with knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience: 1-4 years of accounting experience preferred, with experience using JD Edwards or another enterprise resource planning system preferred.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to produce accurate and complete work, clear communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Corporate, general ledger, fixed asset, plant, or operational accounting experience preferred, especially within manufacturing, consumer products, food and beverage, or another complex organization.
