The Tone:
This is a full-time role for an Accountant at a successful financial service club, located in the Chicago Loop. The organization is dedicated to empowering individuals by helping them take control of their retirement savings through self-directed IRAs. This crucial role joins the operations team to ensure the smooth handling of financial processes, directly supporting the organization’s mission to deliver outstanding service and build lasting client relationships for members investing in real estate, private lending, precious metals, and other alternative assets.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Management: Manage and oversee all cash management and banking operations.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform thorough and accurate reconciliation of various accounts.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve financial and operational problems effectively.
• Operational Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members on a variety of operational tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, suitable for an entry-level or early career professional.
• Experience: At least 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience within financial services, with internships also being welcome.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with trust accounting software.
