SourceAmerica is seeking Accessibility Interns to contribute to their AbilityOne Programs.
Job Description:
The Accessibility Intern will work closely with the accessibility team on projects focused on creating accessible documents. This includes remediating PDFs, PowerPoints, and Word documents to remove barriers to usability and accessibility. The intern will also design and create accessible sample documents based on provided source materials, which they can use to build their professional portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and remediate PDFs and other document types for accessibility issues.
• Assist in the creation of internal and external document templates with accessibility in mind.
• Learn and utilize document accessibility software, such as Colour Contrast Analyzer and Commonlook PDF.
• Actively participate in SourceAmerica’s Everyday Performance Management program.
• Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as needed.
