About the Internship Program
Our internship program offers invaluable hands-on experience within the fast-paced and dynamic world of insurance and financial services. Interns will gain significant exposure to one or more of our core business areas, tailored to their interests and our business needs:

You will work in person alongside experienced industry professionals, receiving dedicated mentorship, participating in comprehensive professional development sessions, and engaging directly with organizational leaders. Interns also join a collaborative cohort, fostering networking opportunities, skill-building, and exploring potential pathways to full-time employment within Alera Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research, gather data, and assist with basic analysis.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, presentations, and internal materials.
- Participate actively in team meetings, trainings, and job shadowing opportunities.
- Support project coordination, including task tracking and follow-ups.
- Communicate effectively with team members to gather information and ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate records and perform data entry.
- Contribute ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and take initiative on assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the insurance and financial services industries.
- Motivated to participate fully in team efforts with a strong collaborative spirit.
- Possesses strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates initiative and readily incorporates feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Program Logistics & Compensation
- Duration: Approximately 10 weeks, running from early June through mid-August. Exact dates will be determined in coordination with the intern and their direct manager.
- Location Type: Hybrid. Applicants must be local to this office to apply.
- Compensation: The hourly rate for this internship is $25 per hour.
